Connecting a custom domain

Point your own domain at a project in three steps.

1. Add the domain under Project → Domains.
2. At your registrar, create the DNS record shown on that page.
3. Wait for the status to change to Active. This usually takes a few minutes, but can take up to a few hours.

Check propagation

dig +short www.example.com

When the answer matches the value in the portal, the record is live. A certificate is issued automatically once it is.

Common problems

• An old record for the same name is still present. Remove it.
• A CDN or filtering service in front of the domain hides the real record. Pause it while connecting.
